A June full of fresh, local fruits & vegetables

Every Saturday at noon, Steel String Brewery in Carrboro will host the Crop Circle. Topics relevant to local agriculture will be discussed on a weekly basis. Food samples will be provided by Vimala’s Curryblossom Cafe. Weekly $5 suggested contribution to cover costs. Any additional proceeds we receive for June will go to Farmer Foodshare. Crop Circle

June 1st: Small to mid-scale Vermicomposting
June 8th: Summer Season Extension Techniques
June 15th: Cooling Techniques (getting the field heat out of your crops and yourself)
June 22nd: Irrigation (How much water do I need during the summer?)
June 29th: Troubleshooting Melons

Vimala481Vimala offers almost monthly cooking classes on various aspects of Indian cuisine.

Her next class, scheduled for Sunday June 23rd, 2-5pm, will feature chole, chickpea stew, and explore roasting and blending spices. This class will be vegan and gluten-free. Cost is $65 per class.
